Set on the River Maine, this picturesque village is an ideal location for exploring, having an afternoon stroll or for doing a spot of shopping. With it’s beauty salons, hairdressers, restaurant, coffee , book and gift shop, village pub, pharmacy, supermarkets, and fast food outlets there is no difficulty whiling away an afternoon. For those with an interest in the architectural heritage of the village there is the Railway Station, the Church of the Immaculate Conception , Cuningham Memorial Church and Craig’s Parish Church. Arthur Cottage, on the outskirts of the village, is the ancestral home of Chester Alan Arthur, 21st President of the USA The Riverside Path provides an ideal opportunity to stroll on the banks of the Maine, admire the ancient woods, see what marks “the wee church at Fenaghy”, rest at Dickey’s Falls and continue on to Galgorm Resort and Spa.
